34.

WHERE DID THE NAME AUSTRALIS RAGDOLLS ORIGINATE?

Well, I have always wanted to see the Aurora Borealis! As I was researching Aurora Borealis I found out about Aurora Australis! Aurora Australis, also known as the Southern Lights, is a natural light display that occurs in the Earth's upper atmosphere around the south magnetic pole. It's caused by the interaction of solar wind and magnetic fields from the sun with the Earth's magnetic field, which releases energy in the form of auroras.

Living in Tennessee and Georgia my entire life we are referred to as being from the South. The name Australia derives from Latin 'australis' meaning southern, and dates back to 2nd century legends of an "unknown southern land"!

So to me it fit!! Ragdolls give off a glow unlike any other breed of cat. They are beautiful just like the Aurora Australis!

35.

WHERE IS AUSTRALIS RAGDOLLS LOCATED?

We are conventionally located between Chattanooga Tennessee and Atlanta Georgia! We can meet for free at either airport or if you live between the 2 locations we can meet you at a safe location. We do allow families to meet kittens after they have had their first vaccinations. Before 8 weeks we offer FaceTime or other live video options.
